Jisun van Engelenhoven is a native of South Korea where she was born into a loving home. She was born as the youngest of three sisters in a family that loved God. From an early age, she heard the Gospel and her need for a personal Savior and she believed Jesus as her savior. In her teen years, she was struggling with assurance of faith whether it was saving faith or just knowledge. But by God’s faithfulness and grace, He truly opened her eyes to see who she was without Christ and that she was a sinner who needs Christ (Matthew 9:12–13). She praises God that He graciously showed her the price that His Son paid for her sins and her journey of walking by faith has been growing. Her desire is to live a life worthy of the Gospel and the Lord.
In June 2010, Jisun married Pastor Paul, with whom she has received three beautiful children from the Lord: Abigail, Noah, and Hugo. She obtained a B.A. degree in Convention Management and Business Administration Studies from Kyung Hee University and worked for a variety of companies in South Korea and the Netherlands. Jisun enjoys spending time with her family, Christian fellowship with other believers, traveling, and reading Christian books.
