The Heidelberg Catechism (5): Is God Unjust in Requiring the Law’s Righteousness? [Lord’s Day 4]

Romans 5:12-21 teaches that Adam’s sin is not God’s sin, yet God has sent us a new Adam who provides us with a way back to righteousness. Rev. Paul Van Engelenhoven answers these questions: Is God guilty of the fall? Is God guilty of sin’s transfer to mankind? Has God provided a way back to righteousness? “For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.”
