Joshua did not give the people of God rest. Nor David. But Christ, the son of David, the son of God, having completed his work of redemption, has entered his rest, initiating the eternal Sabbath rest for the people of God. Listen as Pastor Paul van Engelenhoven preaches from Hebrews 3:12–4:11 on the failure of Moses and of Joshua to give rest, the victory of Christ on the cross, and the call to enter into the Sabbath rest. “So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.”
