Reverence for God

Reverence for God

God’s name is glorious and holy. Under the Mosaic Law, the penalty for blaspheming or taking the name of the Lord in vain was death. In order to understand the severe punishment due for misusing the name of God, we must understand the honor and glory of God’s name. Listen as Pastor Paul van Engelenhoven preaches from Psalm 99 on God’s majesty, justice, transcendency, nearness, and holiness. “Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven.” (Psalm 148:13)
