Christ’s Love for His Bride

Song of Solomon 4:7-11 portrays the love of Christ for his church and his love for sinners. Mr. Brandt Barnard describes the love of God and the Bridegroom’s adoration, longing, and enjoyment. “For the love of Christ controls us… and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.”

Calm Down

Psalm 46: 1-11 proclaims true security is provided by the unfailing providence of God. Dr. Michael Barrett explains that God is our stability in crisis, God is our comfort during crisis, and God is our deliverance from crisis. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

The Gospel of John (72): Who Are You?

John 17:1-26 contains very comforting words of Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, for all believers. Rev. Paul van Engelenhoven proclaims belonging to the Father, to the Son, to the Holy Spirit and to the prayers on God’s lips. “I am praying for them… for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.”
