The Heidelberg Catechism (1): God, our Only Comfort in Life and in Death [Lord’s Day 1]

Matthew 10:26-33 describes the believer’s comfort as a child of God.  Rev. Paul van Engelenhoven  presents a new vision on life: a completely new belonging, a completely new status, and a completely new life. “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
