The Heidelberg Catechism (21): The Comfort of the Approaching Day of Judgment [Lord’s Day 19]

The Lord Jesus warned those who were at ease to be afraid of the day of judgement. However in Luke 21:25-28 he encourages his followers who suffer hardship on his behalf with the approaching day of judgment. For them that day will be their vindication and redemption. Listen as Pastor Paul van Engelenhoven preaches on the effects of a broken world, the dawning of redemption, and the command to straighten up and raise our heads in hope. “And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
