In Romans 9:22-26, the apostle Paul explains that God’s election includes Gentiles, non-Jewish people like most of us. Pastor Paul van Engelenhoven compares Old Testament election and New Testament election, the election of “us”, the unloved who are now beloved, and the outsiders who are now insiders.
“Those who were not my people I will call ‘my people,’ and her who was not beloved I will call ‘beloved.’ And in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’”
