Leviticus 24:10-23 makes clear that all have sinned against the eternal God and deserve an eternal punishment. Pastor Paul van Engelenhoven explains the principle of law: an eye for an eye, finding a suitable Mediator, and God’s glorious Mediator revealed. “How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.”
