The Book of Ezekiel (36): Is There Salvation without Transformation?

In Ezekiel 36:16-23 God declares the absence of Israel’s devotion to Him. In response, He will recreate a people who will serve Him and glorify His Holy name. Pastor Paul van Engelenhoven describes Israel’s devotion in the promised land and in exile, the crux of the problem (the heart of man), the unfailing purpose of salvation (Divine vindication), and God’s work in salvation (human transformation).

“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.”
