The Book of Ezekiel (31): Trusting in God Alone

The Book of Ezekiel (31): Trusting in God Alone

Ezekiel 29:1-32:32 reveals that because Israel left her first love and relied upon Egypt, Egypt would be judged. God has called the believer out of the darkness of their sin and into God’s marvelous light, to be espoused to him. It is God who saves, not man. Yet man is tempted to rely upon the world or himself rather than God. Listen as Pastor Paul van Engelenhoven preaches on the typological relationship between Israel and Egypt, the history of Christianity and the world, the significance of the judgment on Egypt, and the urgent need to trust in God alone.

“Because you have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel, when they grasped you with the hand, you broke and tore all their shoulders; and when they leaned on you, you broke and made all their loins to shake. Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will bring a sword upon you, and will cut off from you man and beast, and the land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”
